Gorumara National Park
Gorumara National Park is a stunning place, located in the Jalpaiguri district of the state of West Bengal. The park is positioned in the Terai area of the Himalayan foothills. It is principally known for its population of Great Indian One-horned Rhinoceros.
It was recognized as a National Park in the year of 1992. The total area of the park is 79.45 Km2. Gorumara Park positioned on the bank of rivers Murti and Raidak have plants of riverine grasslands interspersed with savannah woodlands.
The park has been acknowledged as the best among the protected areas in India by the MOEF (Ministry of Environment and Forest) for the year 2009. The park is dwelling to many species flora and fauna. The plants here are so thick that sunlight hardly reaches down to the forest floor and there are times when it is not possible to see through the thicket.
The park is home to mammal species like One-horned rhinoceros, Indian Elephant, Indian Bison, leopard, Deer, Sambar, Monkeys etc.
Jhalong & Bindu
Jhalang and Bindu are the small villages in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal, Both lies in the Indo-Bhutan border, India's second oldest dam is situated at Bindu.
The hill stations are situated near the Indo-Bhutan border on the banks of the Jaldhaka River, on the way to Bindu.Jaldhaka Hydro Electricity Project on the Jaldhaka River is a major attraction in this area. Bird lovers can enjoy a varied collection of hill birds as well as migratory waterfowl here.
Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary
Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary is close to the Gorumara National Park. Chapramari is about 30 kilometres from Chalsa and Lataguri in northern West Bengal, India. The total coverage of the forest is 960 hectares.
Hanuman Mandir
One of the best temples in Malbazer. Excellent architecture with ambience. You will get restroom, toilet and buffet prasad including tea and coffee etc.
Malbazar
Malbazar, also known as Mal, is a sub-divisional town, a municipality in Jalpaiguri district, in West Bengal.Malbazar situated at 65 km from Jalpaiguri and 55 km from Siliguri.
Malbazar is one of the more important towns in Dooars. It is strategically located in the eastern part of the Dooars region.
Suntalekhola
Suntalekhola is a small village and a tourist spot in the Kalimpong District of West Bengal. The altitude of the place ranges from 650 to 950 m. This place is nearly 5 km from Samsing, which is also a small picturesque serene village. The green patch on the left side of the way to Suntalekhola is amazing and holds many varieties of birds and butterflies.
Rockey Island
